Purpose of the job
The main purpose of this position is to manage Company construction team and coordinate with EPC contractor for all the construction activities throughout construction till facilities handover to Company commissioning team, whilst maintaining quality of construction, materials and equipment. Member of the LPG Company project management Team and reporting to
Company Site representative (CSR).
The main Principal Accountabilities of the Construction manager shall include the following but not limited to: Managing all project management functions for the project, from planning, design and financial management, through to practical construction delivery of the project. Managing projects from pre-construction to mechanical completion Managing Company Construction Team. Ensure Construction Team adhere to HSE procedures, codes, etc. Manage and liaising with EPC contractor for EPC contractor construction/commissioning Software System (CSS) for mechanical completion achievement including check sheets format, number of check sheets, system configuration, etc. Dealing with all project matters including, health & safety, environmental issues, design, quality, etc. Liaising with and maintaining relationships with EPC contractor, third parties and Company Project management team. Assist Company Project Team in the planning and coordination of activities designated to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget. Coordinate with the Project Engineers, Health and Safety Officer and Construction Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization Consult with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority Comply with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers Manage Subcontractors including assisting subcontractors on meeting schedule objectives, acting as a liaison to Company Project Management Team, problem solving on subcontractor issues, documenting progress to project scheduler, and monitoring subcontractor compliance of all health and safety procedures. Manage all reporting and administrative requirements including daily reporting, scheduling assessment, and estimating job modifications. Manage all the review of “As Built” drawings and Documents of the Salalah LPG Project before handover to Asset Management/ Operation and highlight any discrepancies.
